Shepherd Ministry:
Our new mission: to "shepherd" incoming members by placing an emphasis on helping them to connect with others and learn about the opportunities to become involved in the life and activities of Benn's Church. New members are paired with a Shepherd that attends the same worship service, creating more opportunities
to engage with them on a personal level.
Shepherds get to know and keep in contact with their “flock families” throughout the year by checking on their well-being. Various ways to do this can include, chatting at church, making phone calls, sending handwritten notes, email, planned visits, etc. As well, most shepherds enjoy sending their flock members greeting cards for Holidays or special occasions such as: Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Get Well Cards, Accomplishments, etc.
The Shepherds meet once a year, typically in April to plan and host the last Wednesday Night Dinner of the season, in May.
